Northside church

We desire to LOVE GOD with all of our hearts,

LOVE OTHERS as Christ loves us,

and to SERVE THE WORLD through the power of the Holy Spirit.

About

Our desire is to be a community where we LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS, and SERVE THE WORLD.

We are a group of believers seeking authentic relationships with Christ and one another. We worship, fellowship, study, and serve to develop greater intimacy with our Creator and His creation.

At Northside we express our love and gratitude to God through spiritual, God-centered worship and celebration.  We are a place where healing and unconditional love can be found; a place to build a closer and deeper relationship with God and others.

We work to share Christ's message through acts of service in our community and around the world.

If you are looking for a church family or just visiting we would love to meet you. We invite you to study, worship, and praise God with us.

Special Announcement

Dear Northside family,

Out of an abundance of caution, the elders have decided to cancel our Sunday services this week, March 15. Future Sundays will be handled week-to-week, depending on how this rapidly-changing situation unfolds. Please understand that this decision was not made easily. We struggled to consider all the information we have at this time.

Our national and state leaders are urging caution during this pandemic. Locally, some major employers are asking workers to work from home. Colleges and schools are closing for extended periods. Some churches will not meet. While our gatherings may not be as large as some, we do have a great number of people in our church family whose age or health status make them among the most vulnerable to COVID-19, and we do not want to put them, or anyone else at risk.

We always hope to worship together when we can. Extraordinary efforts were made this past week to clean and disinfect our facilities in an even greater way. However, we are simply trying to do what seems safest. We know that God is more powerful than any virus, and we look forward to a time when this crisis is over and we can safely come together again as a body.

Until then, you may access devotional thoughts plus a personal message from me online at nschurch.org. (The sermons are available at the top of the page.)  I hope you will take time to listen to the message and pray for and reach out to others through phone calls, texts, FaceTime, email etc. Most of all we hope you will seek God in prayer praise and study, remembering His great love for you! Please pray for those who are already struggling with this virus, and for our health care workers and first responders. Each small group should make their own decision regarding meeting during the week.

Our mission offering will take place at a later date and we urge you to continue praying for our missionaries.

Please call me or one of the elders or ministers if you have any questions. My number is 309–824–9354.

May God bless you and keep you safe!

With love,

Larry Sharp, Senior Minister

(For the Elders and Ministers)
