COVID-19 Response

Northside Church of Christ has always been a church that prioritizes Loving God, Loving Others, and Serving the World throughout all circumstances. As many schools, businesses and families adjust to the reality of the spread of COVID-19, we too must make some adjustments to the way we do this, but not to our continued commitment to these values.

Although the upcoming weeks will appear different than usual, Northside looks forward to continuing to be God’s Church by discovering how we can live out our three part mission in this ever changing environment. As needs in our community emerge, we are committed to being Christians who are devoted to God’s word, prayer and meeting needs (Acts 2.42-46)

While this is a new challenge for everyone, Christians throughout history have had to adapt as their world changed. While spatial distance is necessary in this season, fellowship must continue. Please be patient with us as we develop and adjust new ways for us to continue to be connected.

Here are a few items that we want to highlight that will look different as we move forward together.

  1. The Northside Church website

    • Here you can receive general church information and announcements

    • Daily devotionals are being posted every weekday

    • Every Sunday morning a worship service video will be available at 10:00

  2. Small Groups are a great way to connect with others in the church. Each group is exploring what format works best for them to continue to meet digitally. If you have any questions or would like to become a part of a small group, you can contact any of the church staff.

  3. The private Church Member Facebook Group is a new way for us to communicate prayer needs and praises. This is also an opportunity for us to stay in contact with one another. All church members are welcome, but you will need to contact Melissa if you would like an invitation to the group.

  4. The Church office will be staffed during limited hours in order to continue to provide aid through the food pantry. If needs arises or you need to talk to one of the ministers, feel free to call at (309)662-9344 or send an email to nschurch@comcast.net and we will do what we can to get back to you as quickly as possible.

During uncertain times there are many opportunities for the love of God to be shown through His people. Please use these ways to stay in contact with each other as we encourage, serve, and bring healing to our community.
